Put Your Faith In God Alone

Is your faith in God or in what you are praying for?

Scripture: But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:6

It is easy to put our faith in what we see or the last answered prayer from God because we witnessed it with our eyes. But to see God move in our lives and do the unthinkable, we must have faith in God. In the past, when I prayed for something like a financial increase, healing, or resources, God revealed to me that I was putting my faith in what I was praying for and not who I was praying to. Putting our faith in God alone can be difficult if we don’t believe He will answer our prayers in our timing. Then doubt creeps in, leading us to use our knowledge and strength to solve the problem ourselves. We must always remember the God we serve and who He is to keep us from doubting Him. He is our Provider, Way Maker, Deliverer, Helper, Friend, Protector, and more. God can be trusted and will answer our prayers like He said in Jeremiah 29:12. He did not fail you before, and won’t do it now. Let’s put our faith in God alone and believe Him without doubting Him, because He will show up for us again.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Jesus, for because of Him, I can ask You for what I need. Help me, Lord, to put my faith in You alone and not doubt nor believe I won’t receive what I'm asking for. Thank You, God, for removing all doubt from me. Amen.
