The Power of Gratitude

Scripture: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Thanksgiving is powerful in the kingdom of God. It changes the atmosphere from dark and hopeless to light and hopeful. It is a simple act, but sometimes, it is difficult to do. When facing a hard time, it is easy to wallow in the moment and submit to the situation. The last thing we think to do is start praising God and expressing gratitude. But once you try it and see how it transforms your life and situation, it can easily become a daily habit. So, in all things, give thanks to God, in good and frustrating seasons and moments of life. Begin to thank God for what you are currently facing, even if it doesn’t make sense. Gratitude is guaranteed to shift the atmosphere instantly.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for who You are. Thank you for always helping me and listening to me. Thank You, Lord, for being a gentleman and never leaving my side. Lord, I ask that You make giving thanks my first response, for you are worthy of all the praise. Amen.
