How You Hold Your Peace Determines If You Truly Trust God

How You Hold Your Peace Determines If You Truly Trust God

February 12, 2025

Scripture: The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14

This is God's word to us. He said He would fight for us, but He has given us a command: hold your peace. Do you know how to hold your peace? Holding your peace consists of keeping quiet when you want to complain, praising God, and resting in Him when your circumstances haven't changed. When you hold your peace, you trust God and His word. If you begin to worry, doubt, fear, and question if God will do what He says, your response informs you that you do not trust God. It is best to repent, be honest with God, and ask Him to help you trust Him and increase your faith. We can believe God will fight for us, but can we stand still and trust God while He fights our battles?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for fighting for us. I ask that You help us hold our peace as we trust that You are fighting for us. Father, teach us new ways to hold our peace. We cast all our cares upon You Father and ask for increased faith and peace. Amen.

Did this scripture help you today? What did you learn from this scripture? How can you apply Exodus 14:14 to your life this week? Do you trust God?
